Spring

The season for magnolias just over was an amazing one. It might be the rain we had earlier or perhaps the unusually long and cold winter.

We waited eagerly for the spring flowers, and so far they have not disappointed us.

  1. The colours of Australian wild flowers had previously struck me during our first visits about 20 years ago to Perth during the summer season. I have been informed about Australian flowering trees during our drive in the outskirts of Adelaide at Barossa Valley region where we saw a pretty flowering purple Jacaranda tree by the roadside and of course when we visited the Lavender farm. The shots here have indeed filled the gaps of what I have missed of Australian flowering trees, as we have not been able to time our visits during spring (it was usually June or Nov holidays). Indeed nice pastel colours and outstanding blooms.

  2. One of the more fascinating part of living in a place with seasons is the changes in the flowers and trees throughout the year.
