Striking Competition at All Saints Parramatta

Six ringers from Christ Church St Laurence took part in the 6-bell striking competition held at All Saints Anglican Church, Parramatta on 29 August. Up against many very good and experienced ringers from other churches, we were very pleased to finish fourth.

  1. Shades of Quasimodo! Didn't know you were a bell-ringer! I used to hang around Arozoo for a chance to ring the school bell.

  2. Don't forget that you were trained in the 2nd Raffles Scout's Group before, and still holding high the flag of 2nd Raffles!

  3. I started with campanology about four years ago. A lot of training before one even makes a dong. Now I'm well into it, ringing "Rounds", "Plain Hunt" and starting on "Plain Bob" It is an interesting activity that it has both social and physical aspects.
