Last week of April, and the colours are out in Central NSW and the Blue Mountains. Deciduous trees don't get colours like these in Sydney. They just had a cold spell not long ago.

Hi KM,
ReplyDeleteYour photos remind me that you are going into winter shortly while we in Singapore are experiencing hot humid weather all-year round - we do miss the 4 seasons at the topics, especially autumn and spring when the colours bloom. My memory of Blue Mountains are the 3 sisters and the rail-car climb, but it was only a day trip. I wonder whether the nuts are the Pistachio nuts that we all enjoy, and the Poplars reminds me of the Casuarinas found in our East Coast (which I believe are also imported). Must be quite an experience ringing bells in the shades of colours.
We don't have much autumnal colours around Perth, and we'd have to go further south for that. Autumn at the moment is quite warm, after an unusually cool and wet summer for us. My oranges are small this year, most likely because of that.
ReplyDeleteWe don't usually get that variety of fall colours in Calgary, Canada. We get mostly yellow & brown.Your pics are lovely!
