Terrys Creek

On Yvonne's anniversaries, we usually go for a long walk. Today was expected to be a bit hot, so we took a short walk to Eastwood via the Terrys Creek Walk instead. We were not aware of the existence of the  Terrys Creek Walk until recently and were quite surprised by its beauty. Could not resist a selfie!

  1. That's a rather cute wefie! I love forest walks. Due to lack of opportunities in Singapore, I could remember only the occasional ones done overseas - one many many years ago at Cameron Highlands, a trek leading from the Golf Course/The LakeHouse at Tanah Rata to the MARDI Agricultural Station where there was a small waterfall.
A more recent walk about 3 years ago was at the Mount Kinabalu National Park, a downhill walk from the gate at the Base Camp where climbers begin their climb of Mt Kinabalu down to the Entrance to the Base Camp, accompanied by a local guide. Both done in a few hours and very refreshing and enjoyable.

  2. Love to do that one day but mountain climbing is a lot harder than just walking along a creek!

  3. The creek looks secluded and far from civilization, despite being in the middle of surburbia (checked Google maps).

    1. It is a narrow strip of bushland that links to the more substantial Great North Walk (you can walk to Newcastle 300 km away). We started the walk from Epping Road near Dence Park.
